FILIUS BLUE is a film/tv composer duo, comprised of Colombian-American Alexander Stix-Brunell and French-Canadian Uriel Vanchestein.
Known for their modern approach to storytelling, FILIUS BLUE’s two founders come from starkly different musical backgrounds…one from high-end production music—previously a composer in-house at Hans Zimmer’s Emmy-winning Bleeding Fingers Music; the other from the symphonic/contemporary concert music scene—having composed for the Emmy-nominated Netflix series Chef’s Table.
FILIUS BLUE recently finished scoring the first season of Hong Kong based crime-series “Forensic Psychologist,” distributed by Fifth Season (fka. ENDEAVOR CONTENT). They also composed the score for some notable features, such as “That’s Funny,” directed by 3x CANNES Gold Lion award-winning director Alex Grossman, and “Dada,” directed by TIFF-selected Canadian director Aaron Poole. Additionally, FILIUS BLUE is honored to have worked with award-winning director Liz Sargent on her film “Take Me Home,” which premiered at SUNDANCE 2023, as well as award-winning director Omar Kamara's film "Bitter Leaf," premiering at TRIBECA 2024.
FILIUS BLUE is currently scoring director Arvin Chen's (PACHINKO) latest TV series, "COOLIE" -- set to be released early next year.
